Meet the Creator
Hi. My name is Leigh, and I’m the founder and creator of The Q-OP.
Growing up in the Bible Belt of the South; a deeply conservative and religious area of the United States, my queer identity lived hidden in the confines of a very stable closet. Accepting — and ultimately loving — myself wasn’t easy, but I proudly broke free and claimed who I am. That journey never left me.
I created The Q-OP selfishly, honestly. I couldn’t find a platform that worked the way I needed it to — a space built specifically for queer creatives to connect, collaborate, and be seen. So I built it myself.
Here, creatives of every kind can meet, collaborate, and find people who truly appreciate queer joy and the work you’re trying to put into the world. As a filmmaker, artist, and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I built this for us — for everyone who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or like they didn’t quite belong anywhere.
Welcome to The Q-OP. I hope this community becomes a space of love, acceptance, and most of all — authenticity.
This space is for ALL of us.

Our Mission
The Q-OP is a one-stop digital home for queer creatives- a space to network, collaborate, celebrate culture, and stay informed. Built by the community, for the community.
Our Core Values
The Q-OP was built on a simple foundation — that every queer creative deserves a space that truly reflects who they are. These values aren’t just words on a page. They’re the heartbeat of this community.
-
Authenticity — Show up as your full, unapologetic self. No masks, no hiding.
-
Kindness — We lead with grace, compassion, and care for one another.
-
Community — This is a space built on belonging. No one sits alone here.
-
Safe & Inclusive — Built for queers, by queers. A place where you are seen, heard, and celebrated.
-
Open-Mindedness — Every identity, discipline, and perspective is welcome.
